Tournaments cancelled............

I was at the lake this weekend and was told by a reliable source that the upcoming BISC striper tournament has been cancelled. If this is true, I missed the memo, and a little official confirmation would be nice so I could change plans made with others.And by the way,The fishing was awesome, You can get all the big herring you want at Island creek dam and the stripers were slamming them ! All The stripers we caught were healthy and strong and of course layed out. Remember, Today 6/1 is the first day of the limit change and I ask everyone if you keep fish only take the number you can eat for a meal. Don't be stocking your freezers out of Kerr. The next 120 days is the most stressful time of the year for the Kerr lake striper and more will lose there life than the other 8 months of the year combined, Please be thoughtful about conservation of this fragile resource. We will not have stripers in the future if we are reckless and wasteful with the ones we have now !

They are pumplng, with recent rains they will be pumping. Also good bait can be caught at nutbush bridge before light, with a light shining on the water.
