I went to the Appomattox river in Petersburg today, no luck high and muddy. Maybe next week it's supposed to warm up for the next week, which should help.

Gill netted a few up near the Interstate 95 Bridge in Downtown Richmond. Water is still to cold for the shad to bite and there really are darn few. That will change in one week and in two weeks there will be kazillions up here.

I rode down to Ancarrow Ramp at lunch and the state boys were loading the electo-shocker sampling boat. I saw them out last Monday also. Today they shocked all over up near Richmond to downstream from the ramp. Last week they shocked up one American Shad and today,,,,,,,,,,,,zero shad of any type including Gizzards. No Stripers either. Only a couple of smallish catfish. Water is 44 degrees today. I was going Wednesday and now I think I will wait until Friday.

I've been keeping and eye on the shad cam at bosher dam and it's not up yet. I guess they don't turn it on until the shad show up?
