We cut open some of the tuna bellies to see what they were munching on and guess what.........butters!! you got it full of butters might be time to chunk for some of the really fat tuna deep!!

Me too TT! That's when us outboard centerconsoles have the advantage. We had epic chunking at OI about 5 years ago with limits of 60# tuna day after day.

Chunking can be a blast...
I remember fishing with Kenny Sexton a few years ago chunking, there were hog yft's busting all around the boat. We worked our butts off cranking in all 60 - 70 lb class tunas non stop.
3 YFT over 60 lbs per person... That's a LOT OF MEAT.....
The only problem with chunking is doing the DOSEY DO, or as I call it the TUNA DANCE. Everyone dancing around following the fish around the boat, over, under around each other... What A Blast...

after this blow i might go chunking just for the 70lbers!! anyone else want to chunk it would be nice to get several boats out there chunking at the same time!!

Several of us are going to be down there next weekend. I'd definitely be up for a chunking trip. If the weather cooperates, we will leave Thursday afternoon and be available to fish Friday and Saturday. Going out on a charter on Sunday. I believe Terpheels and several others have plans for next weekend as well although I can't speak as to whether old Terp will consider going to the dark side[grin].
