What's happening along the east coast fishing scene right now, bluefin tuna fishing is happening and it's a hot bite! Here is one of a ton of fishing reports on the Virginia Fishing Forum. Check it out and get out there, the bite is on!
Tidal Fisher Healthy Grin reports, "The Virginia bluefin bite just will not stop. Crazy fishing. It is February and we are still catching bluefin tuna right along the beach. It was beautiful today, sunny and calm. There were only a few boats out along the VA Beach oceanfront but those out there were tangling with bluefin tuna. The best bite was from the Golf Ball to the condos at Sandbridge from 2 to 8 miles off of the beach. We hooked two. We pulled the hook on one. Michael Hurst (Gloucester) caught the other one. Fishing from Maine to New Jersey is increasingly heating up with each passing day. Striped bass are making their way up the coast and we have a report from Maine this week with some hot striper action. New York striper fishing on the flats and bays has been wide open. The Rhode Island area is waiting on the arrival of the squid which should happen any day. Cape Cod and Martha's Vineyard striper fishing has been excellent as well.
