Those of you guys who have been trolling to the north or south of the Rapp, ahve you run into any of the birds and breaking fish? Last year they were really prevalent at this time particularly around WMP and points north? I would like to find some of that action this weekend, and any help is much appreciated.

There were 2 large packs I ran into yesterday. One was south of the Windmill light Structure. The other was off of Damerons Marsh. Stopped for 5 minutes on the one off Damerons but no takers on first pass so kept on rolling.

I cheated alittle, I saw the spotter plane for the menhanden boat circling in the air, so i decided to race the headboat. Just about 2 miles north of windmill pt light. Got there with little time to spare. caught about 6, biggest 22'. Right when the head boat got there it turned off!!
Then decided to go into the Rapp. river. Ran across 50 or so undersize dead stripers right at the mouth of the Rapp. I can guess that it was gillnetters, just sucks to see that none the less!!

TLTIII,
I saw some huge breaking fish on the outdoor life network last night, but that's the best action I've had lately. Hope to hear how it goes this weekend.

Lots of them at Windmill this morning. We caught a bunch of rock but only four were barely legal. The throwbacks were still fun to catch on light tackle. Plenty of annoying taylor blues also.

What time did you start fishing? I am taking my daughter on sunday for her first trip(shes 8). I have have asked them ,(twins) many times and they have always said no. This time 1 said yes, so I dont know how long she would last, so any help would be great. We will be out of Dealtaville from Richmond.

Thanks. I probably saw you out there. We found what we were looking for, and it is only going to get better.

We started around 8:30, but I am sure that it was good before that. Good outgoing tide tomorrow AM with NW at 5-10. Good luck, and thanks for the replies.
