So maybe a thread that is interesting to vets and newbies alike. Since there are no Rockfish in the Rappahannock we will have to fantasize. If there were Rock in the river and the fishing gods said you could only troll one type rig on your lines all season what would you select as your most overall productive choice that will tally the most fish by season end.

Before the Big Cow's show up I believe a Tandem Bucktail rig
or an Umbrella rig with small baits is the ticket.Either behind a Mojo or an inline sinker.
When the migratory fish show up they will be looking for
Big Baits(like Tomics,Stretches,Parachutes and Big Umbrellas).

Umbrella rig, riged with eight 6' green shad and a 9' stinger. 14 Oz inline with a 3 foot leader between the rig and the weight. My count is 10 hooks, so no fishing in MD waters for me.[grin]

Nah, Capt. Tom! Umbrella rig with rootbeer storms. Rootbeer is the fall color of fashion. [smile]

Sorry if it is a secret

Blue and Green eyes in the fall, Red and Yellow in the Spring. The Grape Ape it the ticket for the late fall especially in December. Also, hunter green mojo's will get their attention in the deeper water columns.

FISH ON! Petey!

Big Umbrellas and everyone is fogetting about Tomics. The old faithful is always a bucktail with a Uncle Ben Pork Rind on the hook.
