I have a buddy that wants to do little crabbing Sat. Weather does not look good. I keep my boat near Wild Duck in Middle River. Looking for 1-2 doz not bushels. Have not done any crabbing in a while. Any suggestions around the Middle River area if theweather is as bad as they say. Also any debth recommendations right now? Shallow or deep? Thanks in advance.

The crabs are in deeper water. Try 10 - 15 ft.

It's been years since I've been in Sue creek, so I can't remember depth or anything, but if the weather is as bad as I keep hearing it's going to be, I'd sit in the creek.

Good Luck!!

Sue Creek is a good choice for a couple dozen crabs and protected. Just as you enter the creek..there is a channel and the water to the left or right is at least 8-10 feet. It goes shallow to either side. Also if you enter.....hang a left toward Weaver's marina and lay your traps down. Agian look for a least 8 feet with the water getting cooler.
