Started out Satirday AM, where I had quit last weekend with 28 traps in 12-14' and the first 2 runs produced 8 average at best crabs. With 2 other people on board this wasn't quite what I was hoping for first the first 2 runs fo teh day.
Remembering Dale's and Tommyteks' reports from the Selby Bay area from this past week (Thanks a bunch to both of you!!!!!), I opted for plan B. Never having been there I, pulled up the area on the Garmin and shot blindly.
Down the river I came and cut into the mouth of the bay right behind the green marker. Laid parallel to the shoreline in 13'. By this time it was 7:45 or so. Pulled all the traps back into the boat at 9:15 with basically a full bushel of mixed females and males all heavy. Probably averaged 7-8 keepers a run. Probably only threw back 10 or so sublegals. Had I made I more run, I would have filled the basket or overfilled it, Jimmy style. Threw back alot of legal but small females.
Everybody take notice, I am claiming this stretch of shoreline for myself next year.[grin] KEEP OUT!!!!!
Thanks again to Dale and Tommy for the help and advice
