Gunpowder River

Started crabbing at 7am and had first bushel by 9;15am. Nice crabs, all dark on the bottom. Crabbed till 12;00 and got another 1/2 bushel.. Only got 6 females. I see people talking about going this weekend and giving it up in the gunpowder WRONG!!!!!!!!! I crab there and i know you still have a good 3 or 4 more weeks to get them there. As long as the weather holds up you will get them, the water is still warm and those crabs are not leaving. Just wanted to let people know it is not over. Frank

I live on the gunpowder. Have been going to the chester last few weeks. Now that the quality of crabs is returning, will give it another shot. Nothing like black mudders in your backyard[grin].

Would you say they are in deeper water, quality crabs that is ?
