Hit the upper West River on Sunday.

After the carnage....and subsequent sore fingers from picking...that we put on the crabs last weekend, I told myself that I was only keeping 1 bushel of crabs today. I had guests coming over for the football game, and I only needed that many.

We put 1200' of snood line out. Made our first run at 7:10. Capped off a 'Jamie' bushel at 8:30. I was very happy with the grade of crabs...even the females that we kept were gigantic, and actually fun to eat.

Whats a 'Jaimie' bushel you ask?? If you ever see some good ole boys from frederick crabbing in an 18 foot green jon boat on the patuxent river...go look at their full bushels of crabs...I never saw a guy wet his basket lid, so that he can get it to bow like that. Ole Fat Jimmy crams crabs into a basket, and bends that lid around them like it was tinfoil....[grin]

Good job- it's gotta be nice to sleep in and get good crabs that close to home. And I wonder who showed me how to pack a basket of crabs like that? I just like to make sure I get my money's worth for that 100 mile drive! [wink]

Due to recent Bmails from Board members telling me, I am bragging and not offering information...here is the specifics of my catch.

I crabbed at the mouth of south creek.

My line was in 7-9 feet of water.

I used chicken necks that were cut in 2 inch lengths.

My line is 1/4 inch softlay, with 1/8 inch snoods hanging 8-9 inches from the main line.

I wore tan cargo shorts, and a black t-shirt.

I had a sausage egg and cheese sandwich with a 20 oz coffee for breakfast.

And....I urinated in the water prior to running my line the first time.

Christ all mighty boys...get out and find a spot to crab...quit b!tching at me for posting a report and teasing one of my good friends within that report.

Sorry Butthead, not specific enough. What brand oil do you run in your motor? What beverage do you consume while running the line? What speed, by GPS do you run down the line, be specific here please, to the tenth. See, without these facts, I just go out, throw the line down just anywhere the water surface looks good, and end up catching a measly 3 bu. in a couple hours.[grin][grin]T.

Tom,

It's no use!!! I've called Rod several times on his private line and he's not talking.[sad]

There's stuff we just gotta know and Rod's as tight as a clam!

I guess we'll have to 'corner' him at CF III this Sunday.

Did your girlfriend go?

Did she go topless?

What color thong did she wear?

You sure it wasn't my girlfriend? She was gone all day that day!

Can I go next time?

ps I don't do thongs

Good job

I couldn't catch a decent crab in 7-9, last weekened one river north of you (South River for those of you who didn't read the post). Amazing how things vary fron one river to the next.

Thanks for the report.

Don't worth about the original post, 'upper west river' what else does someone need to know. Some people aren't happy unless their hands are held.

you guys crack me up...after my meeting with the VP of Sales this morning I needed a laugh like that to wake back up!

My girlfriend was there, but it was way too cold for her normal attire of a bikini top and shorts[sad] Oh well..at least it kept the other crabbers out my really secret spots..lol

Hey T- Oil?? am I supposed to put oil in that big silver thing hanging off the back of my boat?? 3 bushels, huh? Christ..next you'll be posting pictures of ten-pointers[grin]
