NNAC Fall Grab Bag Tournament Results

Capt. Dave Compton called and asked me to post the official results of the NNAC Fall Grab Bag Tournament since his computer system was not working. There were Small Craft Advisories in two of the NNAC fishing zones on Saturday, which caused a cancellation of the day as a tournament day. All fish entered in the tournament were caught and weighed on Sunday with the following results:

Spanish Mackerel - 1st - Larry Long - 2 lb, 4 oz
2nd - Emmett Boyd - 2 lb, 2 oz

Bluefish - 1st - Marty Jewell - 1 lb, 14 oz
2nd - Jim Shimchick (Guest) - 1 lb, 12 oz

Spot - 1st - John Elkin - 0 lb, 9 oz
2nd - Tom Smith - 0 lb, 8 oz

There were no entries for Rockfish, Flounder, or Croaker.

Correction on Bluefish Results.

After the results were posted and e-mailed to NNAC members, one member informed us that he weighed in the largest bluefish on Sunday, but his name was not posted as the winner. Capt. Dave Compton has now been able to verify that the actual first place entry was inadvertently not reported to us by phone, but has now been verified as the winner.
Congratulations to Capt. Jeff Gurr, who caught the first place bluefish of 2 lb, 4 oz in the NNAC Fall Grab Tournament on Sunday.
