Fished Sat and Sunday with 5-6 hundred fish caught per day 3-400 kept. Charters also were averaging 10 to 20 trout a trip with 5 to 10 keepers. Lots of Blues some croakers and released rockfish, seabass and blow toads. Spot want blood worms and the trout and blues wanted cut spot/bloodworm combos. Didn't catch much drifting but did drifts some on 17 foot flat at 10 and when I did anchor up after catching a couple pretty quick we did well. Best fishing was in 19 to 30 foot of water bottom bouncing baits. Some 1 lb spot and many doubles. Ernesto did a little damge to me which will have me on the rail next weekend but it looks like it will be good fishing in the Urbanna Waterview area for the next couple of weeks before the fish move to the mouth of the river. You guys looking for trout the next month should be prime. Pics at www.misterjspleasure.com under fishing reports.

Hey Capt. Bobby,

This is Fred Lagman, we fished with you this past Sunday, the 'Fish-on Crew'...hahaha. My Uncles and Aunt were all impressed and can't wait for the next time we hook up with you.

The Capt is pretty much right on with that report, my uncle and aunt had about 125 fish, erik and his gf had more or less the same amount, and my other uncle and I had about 145....for a total of around 400 fish. Capt. Bobby didn't waste too much time in any one spot if we weren't catching ...so the Capt will find you the fish.

Capt. Bobby, thanks again!!!....looking forward to the next trip, if not this year...next years spring croaker run has our name on it.

Thanks,

Fred

Bobby-we're thinking of running up your way this weekend for freezer Spot. I'll give you a yell on the phone towards the end of the week. Jimmy-we'll run up there with you if your going. Maybe MARKER will get away from work to fish a day.

Lord knows he needs to.... But he still needs to fix what Ernesto broke.... I've got equipment in the basement that was soaked, a major tree limb down, and lots of flotsum and jetsum in the yard. Think the weekend will be spent with chainsaw and rakes.

Last couple of weeks haven't really gone my way.

Mr 4Js is my hero, protecting what he could during Ernesto.

Hey Bobby, good to hear from you. I heard you guys got hit pretty hard by the storm. I hope you didn't get too much damage and are off the rail soon.

Thanks for the report, we may give it a try this weekend.

Tried the Red Barn's area on Saturday with no results.
Moved down river to 'Christ Church Rock' and did very good!
Caught 10' spot fast and furious until I ran out of Bloodworms.
I'm guessing that they are on the move towards the bay now.
Hopefully the 'Yellow Bellies' will show up in the next few weeks.

Tom we burned them up Saturday outside the oyster bed way outside the red barns. Fish are still up river futher as I talked to lot of guys who did well as far up as Garretts. They will be moving your way though through the next couple of weeks. Ledges are killer right now and though the depth will change week to week as it gets colder 19 to 22 foot has been the right place to start at least for me (some guys catchin in 30 or so feet). Hoping to get boat pulled this week and be down to Deltaville by mid October and get those citations that got by me Mid river and start Rock fishing. Ive had 20 plus 1 to 1# 1oz fish this year but haven't had that 1# 2oz fish yet this year. Im trying to keep the string going on at least 1 citation spot every year but have not yet accomplished that feat this year. I hope they drop that soon back to 1# or at least 1# 1oz next year. Ive got a lot of guys that fish with me this time of year because their looking for a spot papers. You guys catchem up the next couple of weeks as I will be painting sanding, putting in new exhaust and gettting the Mister J's Pleasure back in top knotch shape for Rockfish...late spot season. I will have to do my fishing in cyber space so you guys post those good catches.

Have a good one

Bobby
