TIDECRUIZER

We left the inlet about 5:30 heading to the blue where it abruptly met the green and changed from 61.2 to 77.1 in about a hundred fifty yards. We went out about the 175- 200 line. There was a nice weed line following the 100 fathom line that contained all the elements of a good day. Slick calm seas, gravegigger gaffers, and lots of life. Ther wasnt a whole lot of boat traffic on the change so we had the line to ourselves for a while.
We immediately started into the fish and by 8 am we had 5 or so in the box chilling out. Around 11 am the wind switched to the NE at about five and the fish did not seem to like that much and the bite slowed to a crawl.
Overall an beautiful day on the water, headed for the barn at 2 with 18 gaffers, three chickens, and no room left in the box. The biggest went 34 pounds, always my luck: a pound shy of paper.
It was the maiden voyage for the TIDECRUIZER for the offshore grounds and could not have been better. Looking forward to June, tunas and more full boxes!!!!
