I've got a feeling this is going to be the same as a lot of other folks.

Satuday Dad and I started on some wrecks near the Jackspot to fill Mom's request for some sea bass fillets.....stopped when we had about a dozen in the cooler, then headed to the Jackspot where we did the Stretch for Blues thing....caught two before a thunder storm drove us in.

Sunday I fished on a buddies boat short of the Jackspot with a fleet...caught several more blues on stretches and deep bucktails.

Monday Dad and I hit the Jackspot for a few fresh blues then tried for sharks....not as many blues or boats at the J-spot, but we boated 4 in about 1.5 hours and headed to the fingers....tried the shark thing for about 4 hours with nothing but Spiny Dogs pecking....got bored and started catching some on a Senator 112 for some action....saw two other boats on each horizon and heard nothing on the radio.

A side not, this was the first time we ran our new to us cat offshore...although conditions were ideal flat, the boat is awesome so far! Cruises 29 mph at 4400...the twin 130 Hondas burn about the same about of fuel as our 2004 150 Merc did....AWESOME

Also saw Terp Heels out there Sunday, but couldn't make down to the dock for a cold one like we discussed on the radio...needed to put in some time with the family after all that fishing.

Wow, I know I had quite a few this weekend but I'm pretty sure I was at the marina on Kent Island Sunday eating crabs at my sons bday party! Wonder who it was? Nice catchin on those sea bass, thinking of doing a multi purpose, catch anything that bites, this Sat outa OC.

Woa! We're definately downing them....but I swear that a boat was trolling right off our Port then turned not 100 yards away and it said TerpHeels reel big across the stern with red letters for Terp and blue for Heels....am I missing something? I got on the radio and hailed the captain to BS...we were in the 27' World Cat with Yammi 225's....I know he's a tidal fisher over....capt said he was in Sunset on E-dock...I think slip 23?????

What the hell was I drinking out there?? A few hours latter the fog rolled in and Flying Dutchman trolled by running 12 lines!!...I thought that was a little extreme for blues....Good thing I was running the boat that day[grin]

Oh yeah, temp on the fingers was 64 degrees, but I think that was only the top few feet that warmed up under the sun while we sat there.
