Ive been using traps and nx off a pier for a while now and was looking for a used canoe to get out to the bigguns. If anyone has a used canoe that they would part with, let me know (b-mail or email - hotelterp@yahoo.com.
I may be a little picky but it must meet these 2 conditions:
-it floats
-its cheap
thanks everyone

would you be driving all the way from n.va? there are probably some spots on the potomac that are closer to you, but I dont really know that area for crabbin.
there is a public beach near annapolis on the severn where you can crab w/ traps from a bridge. its across the river from annapolis on rt 450. they have built the new bridge, but left 1/2 the old bridge for crabbin/fishing. I havent been there in years, but I do remember that most of the crabbers/fisherman were "blue collar" (my kind of folk) that were there to soak up rays and catch some dinner.
to get there from dc, take rt 50 east past annapolis, after crossing the severn, take the 1st exit (rt 450) towards the naval academy. take the last right before the severn river bridge.
hope this helps
