Do most of you use a steamer pot or a pressure cooker to cook your crabs? Any special recipe for your favorite table fare? How long do you cook em'? I've seen a lot of different recipes call for a lot of different ways to cook em. I've always used a steamer pot for about 20-30 minutes in water mixed with beer. Looking for a potential new/easier/better tasting way of cookin' em' up.

I use a steamer pot I got from my wife's grandfather, his an old potter on Thilghman Island. Hand made from rolled SS. As far as the receipe I used water and vinager and beer. About 4 cups of vinager to 16 cups of water. I layer my crabs and poor my beer (2 cans). As far as the time the first pot takes about 45 min. The second about 30 min. Hope it helps.

Wow is that a Keg? Now that could get interesting. I don't know if the fiancee would go for that one though[grin].
Great info guys. Thanks a million! Never realized how little i knew about crabbing till i started frequenting this site. Growing up handlining at the shore..to coming here and learning all of the techniques etc. is like going from a puddle to the ocean. You guys are amazing.
