Went to Tread Avon Saturday early 10 runs 36 crabs. Once sun hit water crabs turned off. We crabed with 1500ft trout line. Alot of scate. Any other reports out there is the chester doing anything yet?

Glad to see you got some crabs but if your not a commercial crabber you can only run 1200’ on line. Thanks for the report

Actually, I think my husband is wrong, it is 1200' line. We were off the water heading down the road at 8:00. We were listening to the marine radio and apparently others were having the same problem as us, when that sun got higher in the sky the crabs just weren't there. Did three runs with nothing, finally last run I got two bigem's then we pulled and unbaited line and went home. Had enough to feed my husband and his parents and neighbor (i don't eat crabs). I just couldn't believe there were that many boats in the water when we got there to launch (approx 4:45).
