I was lucky enough to be aboard with POLECAT and his lovely wife when he made his trip to the Pax on Sat. When I bought some "expierenced" traps from him, I asked if he needed a Ho. Even though I had never met the guy and told him I had never ran a Trotline before, he invited me to give it a try.
I cannot remember when I have had a better time with nicer people.[smile] It was like going to "Crabbing College"! Jerry explained everything to me, was extremely patient with the newbie and I learned so much while having fun. I even got a "graduation" gift of a bushel of nice crabs!! An added bonus was meeting a lot of board members on the river too.
Thank you, Jerry and Mary for a great day and for being so nice to me. I hope I can use the new skills to begin making meaningful contributions to this board.
