Friday and Saturday's goose hunt

Fridays hunt was ok but not great compared to past hunts. We hunted until noon and managed to get 5 birds with the blue bird day and light winds. The birds that were flying were flying high and hard to decoy.

Saturday was an even tougher day then Friday. Saturday was another blue bird day after a few morning clouds with light winds. We hunted all morning without a shot or a bird even coming in to shooting range. We decide to take a break and eat lunch. Came back after lunch for the afternoon hunt and didn’t have a bird come even close to decoying. It wasn’t until late in the day that we had some birds come into our decoys but we did manage 3 birds

Those nice days are always tough ones the birds just don't seem to want to move in 50+ degrees. Glad to hear you got some bird though. I made it out both days as well, up on the island, and did OK. Friday was slow but the sheer number of folks out Sat. helped corall the geese right to us and there were a ton of boaters out which helped keep the ducks flying well into the mid-moring to early afternoon.
