I noticed an earlier thread that referenced re flocking goose decoys. Do you flock the whole thing or just the heads, tails, ???? What kind of flock do you use? I thinkit came from an arts and crafts center in the earlier post. I have 6 doz. Avery Greenheads to do.

I have used the Iron Fuzz flocking. It worked well! I just flocked the heads.

I've flocked many bigfoot heads, get the flocking off ebay, very cheap, and then get rustoleum oil flat black and paint head and then dust the head with the flocking, where a dust mask , do the flocking out side, put a box under you to catch paint drips and flocking material and you can recycle what falls into the box.

Thanks, Bill. Sounds like that should work.

I'm still not convinced it's worth it. But then again a hunter or
fisherman will spend his money on anything.

Good point, Bert. Don't ever try to justify hunting or fishing costs in monetary terms. It just won't add up right unless you go philosophical with it.

I bought mine from here:

It worked great. I do have to agree that you must be careful when handling flocked decoys. Not that the flocking will come off but if a field is muddy and you walk by a decoy and sling mud up on the flocking, it tends to stand out a little. Just be careful when it's muddy and you'll be fine.
