anyone know where i can pick up some canada goose floaters? i was going to try early resident season but am too cheap to shell out the $60 for 4 floaters new. used would be great. i am only looking for about 6-12 for a real small spread.

$60 for 4 doesn't sound that bad. If you find them cheaper Let us me know. I picked up some of the FUD/ fold up dekes last years. Got a dozen for about 120, I think. Still not sure if I like them or not.

Take some foam pipe insulation, you know the kind.......grey/black and split. Apply it to the base/edges of your shells and they'll float just fine. Just run a piece around the edge and taek it off when you start feild hunting.
PS....I've got some floaters if you want a partner[grin]

you know, i was wondering if anyone has converted shells into floaters with foam. that seems like the way to go.
