Howdy Y'all...
Skip had asked me to arrange Adam's Edgewater, for your April 7th meeting.
You have the "back room" at Adams. I talked to Billy the owner. He is giving you Happy Hour prices on drinks during your stay. They also have nightly specials. They have their normal sammichs, etc.. Wednesday is All You Can Eat BBQ Ribs and Shrimps. For 18 bucks gets you all you can stuff in yer belly ribs, shrimp steamed, fried, or BBQ'd, and cole slaw, and tater salad too. They have good shrimp, and obviously ribs.
From 5-7p.m. Martys is giving you 10% off all purchases in most items in the store. (I may be at Adams with y'all) Make sure you tell the person at the register who you are. Free T-shirt for a purchase of $100 or more, $19.95 value, one per person.
I thank you,
Jim

I think there was some "fine print" in the Fisherman of the Year rules and regulations that stated if you missed a monthly meeting you automatically forfeited the rest of the year's free drinks. :devil2:
Looking forward to the April meeting - - thanks for setting us up, Jim

I don't recall free drinks for the entire year of 2008....perhaps I missed something?

Goose - seriously , you are working too hard if you can not take an hour to BS about fishing.
There are free ice tea refills .
It loses something in translation but a guy in Costa Rica summed it up well.
You can live to work or you can work to live.
Life is a one way ticket - and it goes by way to fast for most of us.
Hope you can make it.

Let me give you the email address for our management committee!:D
As odd as it may sound, I do often enjoy what I do and -- although I'd never tell my better half this -- I occasionally even have trouble leaving the office in the evening because I'm really engrossed in some interesting problem. But today, the excuse is simply that I went shad fishing this morning, didn't get to the office until 9:30 and now have a pile of crap on my desk that needs to be resolved before I set foot out the door.
In the spirirt of the SRRKC, here's a pic of a Severn cove that I took back in early March. I was struck by how clear the water was that day. It just goes to show that the Severn still has a fighting chance to be a great fishery and a nice all-around recreational resource. Maybe some day it will look like this all year.

Nice picture showing clear water and no beer cans or bottles. Many years ago(5 I think) went to the tiki bar off the Magothy and the water next to the bulkhead was the same way. I could see all the beer bottles and cans on the bottom. I think that was the year the Magothy had zebra mussls. When running a trotline that year, the crabs would see the boat and drop off.
