I know at least 2-3 SRRKCers wanted to get in the Pickerel derby but could not make it to Weds. meeting - so in good sportmanship , you have until Saturday to get in.

Please post your intent here - PM is still iffy.
We'll trust you for the $10.00.

How do I join the Club? I have a condo and sailboat on Spa Creek, although our permanent residence is in Camp Hill, PA. My son Chris and I fly fish the Chesapeake and the Severn River in our Simmons Sea Skiff 18. You have probably read his posts on the fly fishing board. I think that John Page Williams will vouch for us. We would like to join the Pickerel derby. Thanks. Jack (john on tidal fish)Detweiler. jackdetweiler@howardhanna.com

Good call, Skip
looking at a cople of months of rehab after shoulder surgery 2 days ago - don't see a lot of fishing in that time.
Will miss those toothy critters.
Good luck all - and lots of healthy releases

Chris - We trust JPW on dissolved O2 data , but character references? I know some of his friends........

Larry,

I wish I could!! Maybe next year we'll do the SRRKC Winter Pickerel and Ice Boat Racing tourney!! We are actually seriously considering starting the Pickerel event on December 1st next season to make it more fishable!

Right now is hell for fishing. The ice in most places is too thick to bust through with a boat but too thin to safely walk on.

I definitely like the December start date. I forgot that winter could actually be a very cold time :eek2:

How about Jan-March, starting this year? I find it difficult to get out and fish in December with too much Holiday stuff going on, on the weekends in December.

Rod. It's even more difficult to fish when there's ice on the river...as it has been for the last few years. There are some good pickerel to be had in December.

If you're letting holiday stuff take precedent over fishing, Rod, we may have to rethink your membership. :-D
