I demo'd a Twin-Vee skiff yesterday from Back Creek out to the Eastern&Western Rockpile's. I had high hopes that there would be some perch or "hanger's on" Rock but never saw much of anything on the fishfinder. There was a nice flood tide running and jigging was doable. water temp was 38 degrees.....I guess it's time to head into thinner water for the Pike!
The Twin-Vee handles remarkably well especially given it's rather extreme light weight. On a plane the boat will turn quickly giving the feeling that you are carving a turn on snow. On the run in a chop had developed and the boat doesn't want to pound....
Attached is a weather report from the Rockpile! Hope to see you guys on the Severn early in the New Year...
