OK, did a search and realizing there are a few new products on the market wanted some input...
I've got a 1981 Master Marine (True World/Good Go) 28 CC that I've taken back to bare fiberglass on the hull bottom...old finish was kaput...took it to bare glass because I had a few suspected blisters and have taken care of those properly...hull sides where painted earlier this year...
She will do 34-37 mph WOT depending on load and how much fuel is on board. I will be trailering (bunks, triple axle Loadmaster) her until my new property is re-dredged and boat lift is finished (18-24 months) and after that she will be on the lift unless out for repairs.
She is going to the yard this Tuesday to start the job before it gets too cold here in Virginia. I will start with 4-5 coats of Interlux Interprotect 2000/2000E Epoxy Barrier Coat.
Factoring in all the above, trailering, lifted in the future, Interlux system, which bottom paint would you use and why. I would like a slick racing type finish like Baltoplate or VC Offshore or similar newer product in the hope that I can pick up a knot/mph or two or three or...and or burn a few less gallons at cruise on long trips offshore...
Looking forward to your responses...
