It hurt to leave the severn in october, but Cape Lookout NC did fine for me. In three days I got too many Albies to count - including many in the upper teens. The two shown are 17 and 18 #. The other angler was hooked up, so no picture of the biggest - over 19#.

We found schooled redfish in the ocean - busting bait on top briefly. I got my fly in the mix several times, but never got a good hookup. the guy I was with did better. That was a battle on a fly rod.
Saw lots of sharks and some cobia, but no bites

Mighty nice, Dave! What's that good-looking boat you're fishing from?

I love anything caught via the fly...especially if it's big. Good work dave.

Yup
Fished with Sarah 2 days as planned, then
stayed an extra day - fished with a new friend.
easy to make friends when everybody's catching fish!
It was tres calm.
tres fun too.
