Trolling motor Trouble

I have a bow mount 12V Riptide TM. Right now the motor will only turn on and off if I turn it to speed 3 or rev2, the low end speeds aren't working. Any ideas what may be fouling me up? I called Minn Kota, and they sold me a new switch, but I am still having the same problem with the new switch in it. Any tips or advice would be great!

you can take it to your local electric motor shop that works on starter, altenators, electric pumps, etc... usually they can fix it for very little cost... all rotory electric motors work on the principals and thats what these guys do.
