Mike this is what I found.
"Microsoft changed the way that certain packages are signed with security certificates. Adobe didn't get the word, and continued to sign their releases in the same old way. The result is that current Internet Explorer browsers, versions 7 and 8, report an error for any website running Flash, and refuse to download the latest version. That is why System Restore, a drastic measure, can work. There is no fix that the user can apply. Changing user Security settings won't work. The only workaround is to switch to another browser. ANY other kind of browser. "
Do you know if you are running 32 bit or 64 bit? Right click my computer and select properties, it will tell you there. My 64 bit Vista IE8 is working fine with flash player. (Knock on wood) Others are using Google Chrome and fixing their problem.
Let me know what you find out. We'll get this beat. Just have to find the culprit.

Paul....32 bit.....Do you think or could I have down-loaded IE in the 64 bit format and could be causing this?

I would suggest installing mozilla firefox at mozilla.org. Make it the default browser when it asks. See if that fixes your problem. It works fine with flash player. I personally use IE as little as possible.

Hey Mike...do you have a "contact" for re-programming a SC? My original one was one that you plugged in and was made for the "puter-code". My code got changed and it doesnt work for the truck anymore....I'm running a Diablo now, but dont like it as much as the SC when it was working....any ideas??

Andy did you have a new Ecm[Engine Contol Module] replaced in your Truck WHILE the "Tune" was still programmed in your Truck? If so that is the problem.IF that is the case and you bought it new and registered it,I would call SC,tell them that your ECM went up WHILE the Tune was in it and now you are unable to Tune your new ECM. And see if they could re-program your Tuner for a nominal charge.
NOW....Thats IF this is what happened....Tell me more Buddy...Say Hi to Beth for me!

I dont remember them changing the ECM...I just took in in for service a couple of times...can't even remember what for...each time when I got the truck back, the chip worked....til the last time....:eek2: The chip is programmed for a XLE4 code...Ford changed the puter code on one of the service's and now the chip doesn't work for the puter. I ended up getting a Diablo which "doesn't care" what puter code you have...it has plenty of power but lost fuel mileage. ....OY...now I rember what the truck went in for....which they haven't fixed in 6 try's....idle surging and surging at low speed/low RPM's in the winter. They have some lame ass excuse for what the issue is, but I dont buy it....the truck runs GREAT, so I'll live with it. Still would like to get the SC reprogrammed for the puter....

They probably re-progammed your ECM to try and fix your problem.Updates do come out from time to time to repair software problems .Most likely the last time you had it in they re-flashed the ECM and wiped the SC Tune out.If you do not take the Tune out....BEFORE a re=program...Most Tuners will NOT work again.
Reason being.......When they sell you a Programmer, they design it to be used on ONE Vehicle at a time!!!! Another words ,you can't buy one and program yours and a bunch of Friends Trucks! It will do ONLY ONE V.I.N. number at a time.

That's what they did....re-flashed it. Unfortunately, the chip was one of the "early" ones that was "flashed" for the puter code...it wouldn't work on other trucks unless it had the same code.
Now they have these "programmers" out there...I'll hafta get me one someday....would like to sell of re-flash the chip 1st for my truck if possible.....got toooo much $ in chips right now to go out spending more fishing money on the truck! ;-)
