I just purchased a T Top for my Trophy 1903CC. What length of screws are used to mount the legs to the floor? If anyone has a how to link or can give advice on mounting a t top, it would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks for any help

Just my .2... Screws don't have a place on the boat. Thru-bolt with 1/4 backer plate and stainless steel nuts and nylon lock bolts. Hopefully you have access to your deck, if not still worth putting in 2 deck acess plates.

There is a stringer where the posts would be mounted. I thought that if I would screw into it that would be secure enough. I agree that bolting it with a plate beneath the deck would be the most secure but doesn't look feasible.

If that is the case, I would pre drill the srew holes one size smaller then the actual screw and fill the holes with 5200 and also bed the t-top plate in 5200. Good luck.

I will use your 1st recomendation. I just talked to a Trophy representative and he said that the stringer is fiberglass and that he didn't think that it would be structurally sound to just add screws. If a boat is ordered with a T Top they laminate a metal piece in the stringer. I will need to see if I can move it off the stringer and run bolts through a backer plate.

Thanks again for your reply

If the laminate is thick maybe toggle bolts would work or you could bond a pad to the floor first then use toggle bolts

Sorry for the delay in resoponding.I think I will try bonding the plate and toggle bolts if I can't add a backing plate.

I'm out of town this month and won't be able to look at it until Nov. but will let you know how I made out.

Thanks for the suggestions.
