I want to install a carbon monoxide detector in my boat for added security.

Lowe's have several models by Kidde ranging from $19 to $50. West Marine has them ( other mfg) for $100.

Is there anything special about a marine CO detector? I don't want to be gouged just because of the word MARINE APPLICATION.

What do others here have in their boat?

Just make sure it's ignition protected!

Meaning it will shut off my generator if CO is detected? I was just going to get the thriple A battery powered unit by Kidde.

Meaning that it won't generate a spark that will cause a KABOOM.
