View Full Version : Want To Buy: Small chest freezer

In case someone has one for sale I thought I'd put it out there that I'm considering buying a small chest freezer. Got a family now, need a new place to store fish and venison since the kid's food is in the kitchen freezer.

Considering new, but a good used at a good price may fly with the wife. I'm picky as to external condition...willing to clean out interior (within reason). Looking for 5cu-ft or bigger. Nothing huge, no uprights, nothing that needs work. Prefer that baskets/shelves be included (if originally sold with freezer). Bmail or post with info. Don't wait or depend on me as final decision to purchase is the wife's and who knows what she'll decide (new vs. used). Mostly seeing if anything is out there.

Cheers,

bob

You would be much better to buy new. It is not really as much the cost but you hunt hard and fish hard and put all that meat in the freezer. You don't want a failure. It will make you sick to see all that wasted meat.........don't ask...........Gary

Absolutely agreed!
Check 'Scratch and Dent' stuff at all the sales places. Here on the Peninsula, Sears has a large outlet, Lowes, Home Depot -- all have damaged stuff. Many times, the damage is out of site when you install it, or so slight it isn't noticeable. I just figure I owned it for a week and something we did messed it up.;-)
