Hi All,

I am going to Key Largo next week and am looking for a good spot to go inshore fishing? can anyone make recommendations on captains/outfitters?

ALSO, there is a pier where we are staying and want to do some casting with the kids...any idea what bites and the lures I can use? Planning on taking some inline spinners, but any help is appreciated.

All the Best.

As I do everything myself down there, I'm not much help with the guides. I would head down to Islamorada and check out Bud and Mary's. Lot's of reputable guides that way.

Are you on the Bay or Atlantic side? If you're fishing with the kids off that pier, get a bucket of live shrimp and some ballyhoo. Cut the ballyhoo in chunks and use the shrimp live.

Where are you staying? We spent a week in Key Largo last year. It was a good time. We rented a house on the Buttonwood Sound. Bay side.
