Got Out the OC inlet at 5am,, calm seas, on Jim's 260 Mackinaw
slow ride out, got to the tip at 8am, hooked up and boated a wahoo around 30lber in 15 minutes,, hookup another and no love for mono, a cut off.
Got a "crisfield release" on a white marlin following a nice weedline.lets just say you wouldnt get no points for this release. thats what we called it.
One of those crisfield boys fed the fish,, text book like,, put his thumb on the spool, hooked the fished, she aired out behind the boat then he forgets to put the lever back to strike and tries to reel,, well bye bye whitey,,,, crisfield release!!:eek2:

Got one loley dolphin on the weeds also. none off the polyballs

Great to be offshore in October!!

Happy fishen,,,Bill

Good job Bill. I just got to my boat and still see the flags flying, unless your brother went again today. I'm spending the night here, so don't worry, if the flags are still there in the morning, I'll take care of nailing them to the dock for ya! And no, that wasn't me who nailed you last time.

my bad Bill. I just figured out you were not on your bros boat. He had a white and a dolphin flag still flying, but he must of known something was up as he came and pulled his flags down, five minutes after I posted the above. He released a white and caught a half dozen gaphers on weedline out there.

yeah , thats funny Jim anytime after noon the following day hes fair game.
he always came the next day and took the flags off my boat the last 2 years except that one day when i got nailed.
nice thing was that there were free drink chips from sneaky petes dock bar under the flag.
