Check out the pics on catchbigfish.net - pretty awesome. BigCat and his crew landed the whopper on Oct 3rd just sough of the Dutch Gap area. The water temp is actually 72-74 degrees and droppping slowly which is good. Bait is scattered. Stripers are still not very active but then again, that depends on the "hole" you are fishing. I personally have been scouting several nites last week and will continue this week. They are THERE !
Note - JRCC tourney this SUNDAY. Open to all $50/boat plus $10 big fish. Everyone make an effort to attend cause everyone has a chance as this will be a 50 lb target wt. tourney. Up to 5 fish to get closest to 50 pounds wins. Check out details on James River Outdoors.com. Standings are for anglers who have fished a majorityof the tourneys and are vying for Angler of the Year which pays a cash bonus for persistency and good fishing. New boats are welcome because of course we still pay 1st, 2nd and 3rd, so the $$$ to win is there.
