hey guys i have a buddy thats into bass fishing and was asking me if i knew any guides for bass on the james i dont bass fish so any help i could get would be great anyway thanks for the help and hopefully ill be able to help him:thumbup:

Bass guild in the James? If you have boat and are launching in Richmond area, I would put in at Osborne. Down river to the just before the 295 bridge ( at the golf coarse ) Hang a right and head back to the barge pits, The bass hold in on the barge wrecks. If you can’t catch one in there you shouldn’t be bass fishing. The James is full of bass and any structure holds fish !! Try some cat fishing. Bait on the bottom will yield some big blues

yeah i will lwt him no i told him they hold tournys there all the time so its got to be a good plase for bass he wants to go on a guide though thanx

The water in the barge pit is probably near 95 degrees on a hot day....not much oxygen.
In about 4-5 weeks it should turn on though as water temps fall.
