Been fishing a couple nights a week the past few weeks and it has been getting better each night. The rush of water last weekend really helped the bite for a few nights. Caught over 20 flatheads one night with the water coming down. Went last night and the water in the main lake has cleared up already and wasnt moving much but the fish are stacked up on the humps. Caught 5 nice flatheads over 25 lbs last night with the biggest being 35 and only fished 3 hours. That has pretty much been the usual here lately. It should continue like this on up until the end of October. Im gonna have to trade the ambassadeur 7000's on tiger ugly sticks for the Diamond bow and get after some bucks come Oct 4th though. If any of you tidalfishers wan to catch some flatheads, now is about the best time of the year to come catch them on buggs. You can just about catch them anywhere from the rivers to clarksville now. I see where a lot of bass fisherman are catching them on carolina rigs and crankbaits on the points. Hope to see some of you all on the water.
