My friend and his dad + a couple of his friends fished the labor day weekend, well part of the weekend, and caught several nice fish. Jeff caught a 35 lber, his dad caught a 65lber, and a friend of his caught a 55lber. They said bait was hard to catch around the bridge(BH) but they finally did manage to get some big shad after throwing his arm off with a cast net. They caught 8 bluecats in all and the water stated rising and the fish quit biting, so they left a day early. Jeff meet a couple of guys from the TF board and they got his cell phone number in case they had trouble on the water and needed to call someone. Jeff can't remember their TF handles, he was in a 24ft Sea Ark, if you guys read this post let us know how you did.

The TF guys you met were Camerom Krazie and Redcat.
We always trade phone numbers at the ramp to be able to help others if they need it as well as get help if we need it.
We were just trying to be cautous and helpful.
We were not leaving the dock in a half running, leaky boat hoping to make it back to the landing.
We also trade info on the bite if we have something to share.

OK RedCat, where's the info. on how you guys did? Did you catch any? Just curious, if you didn't get into them, it might have been the water rising.

Like I said , I share info when I have it.
We fished Fri. and Sunday without cathing a fishon hook and line .
We did see an interesting thing see post by Camern on the catfish feeding top water under the BH.bridge Hundreds of them swimming vertically under the water and slurping minnows in the bridge lights.
It looked like a once in a lifetime thing but they may do it every night

Can't find the post on Camerom Krazie catfish feeding topwater. Hey RedCat can you remember the page it's on or do you have a link to it? Thanks

there is another spot on the river where 1000's of them feed every night, but theres no lights near by. They are so thick your depth finder will blackout.

I've seen that to down by Jordan Point. There is a dock that has a light and the cats just line up and eat minnows. Pretty wild looking.Their heads are up and tails straight down like they are dancing underwater!
