Gas Filter

Picked up a new boat last year with a 50hp 2stroke yamaha on it.

want to put a gas filter on the engine to help with any bad gas problems i could possibly run into.

what is the difference between the one's manufactured by quicksilver (like what bass pro carries)

and the one's at boaters world that have a clear cup?

if I change the filters on a regular basis are the cheaper quicksilver one's good? is the only benefit to the clear cup ones that you can see if your getting water?

it seems like about a 100$ difference in cost between the two.

I just installed a racor 320 on my 90 hp Johnson. This is the model with the clear cup on it. I guess it all depends on how much you want to spend.....I talked to a mechanic before I made the purchase and he recomended the racor based on experience... so I went with that one... it's should be only a 50 dollar difference. ....I think I got mine from west marine for 89 bucks.... I'm sure either one you go with is better than not having one so you can't go wrong!!!
