I've seen it advertised, time share type arrangement. I personally wouldn't get involved since I'm an*l about the condition of my boat and equipment. Open water is not the place you want to rely on someone else's "skills" unless it's someone you know and trust.

I joined years ago and it's the best thing i ever did. I used to own my own boat and this is so much better. They've got every kind of boat and i get to use them as often as i want and they take care of them. I've heard that they've come up with some new plans since i joined in 2004 and now you pay a membership fee and a monthly dues.

Bob is right though, if you can't share this isn't for you. For me and my co-members the positives far outweigh the few negatives.

I saw a Carefree banner at Riverwatch in Middle River this weekend, as a regular you'd think I'd pay attention but it's too easy to get distracted. I couldn't catch up with Mark to get the scoop. I don't know if RW is a component of the Carefree or what, but I'll find out. Mark and Tracey aren't big on liability risks so I doubt that RW is part of it, but I'll check.

I'm with Bob. Not that familiar with this but I am very particular about my boat. I want it set up like I like it. Boats are a good deal of work but working on my boat is not real work. Its more of a therapy to me (hence the name). Went through seperation with my wife in the last year and my boat was an escape from it all. For the money I put into my boat I could fish with a guide countless times or HO for the rest of my life but there is just something about running your own. Just my .02
