I have a 2004 23' sea fox WA. I've noticed that while sitting at the dock, the boat lists to starboard a few inches. I have not seen any water in the stern while it is in the water, and when i pull the boat and drain it, there is very little water discharge. Any thoughts before I start making the calls to the dealer? Thanks in advance!

Do you have A Fresh water tank??

yep. it holds i think 15 gallons, but i have to verify that.

things to look at fresh water tank, twin batteries on that side all wiring run down that side. not much by themselves but they all add up try relocating batteries to port side have seen that work before. does not take much weight to change the lay ofthese boats.

My money goes with the batteries and stuff. . . get a buddy and have them stand on the boat moving from side to side while you are watching from the dock and you can figure out the order of magnitude of the "problem".
On the other hand if you eliminate all of those kind of things what is the hull construction like? These things get nasty. Is there any potential for a moisture leak between the inner and outer hulls at the gunnels (for boats with foam between hulls). I had a friend with a Grady 24 that had this problem. Also you have the potential for saturated foam under the floor or between the cabin liner and the deck.

all glass hull should not have any foam unless it was added after market.

check to see if there is a blocked drain hole in the stringer on that side. Sometimes water can become trapped above the stringer.

Take a look at Carolina Skiff and Whaler. I know the Skiff innerbottom on mine (1996) is foamed full and Whaler had a commercial showing the boat still afloat, cut in three pieces, each foam filled with a person standing on each section. Has something changed that their not using foam any longer??

this is a sea fox 23 no foam from factory the whaler has it that is why even if damaged ,broken up, it still remains a life raft.

Thanks for all the replies. I would think that for the boat to get water logged it would have to sit in the water for awhile (which it hasn't). I would also think the whole thing would be sitting low instead of just the starboard quarter.
The fresh water tank fill is on the starboard side, so I will empty it this coming weekend to see if that affects it.
My first thought was definitely that the extra battery was the culprit, but it just seemed that a boat of this size shouldn't be this affected. The good thing is that the problem doesn't seem to be getting any worse. I'm thinking my next steps are to 1) inspect the hull 2)empty the water tank 3) call the dealer (nautical marine in Richmond) and see if they have any experience with a similar problem 4) let you guys know the results! Thanks again for all the replies!
