Hey Terp,

I've never used a chloro shot before. Could you elaborate a little on what we're looking at.

Thanks!!

Being out of Cape May I see that you guys are running to the Cigar. Is this the Cigar that I'm familiar with? It's only a 26 mile run from CM. Is there another one by Virginia?

The cigar we fish out of VB is about 35 miles south of the Norfolk Canyon on the 200 line.

Basically, the chlorophyll gives you and idea of water clarity. Where you see the reds, yellows, etc is dirtier water. The blues and purples are clear blue waters. That's the just of it.

As far as I understand the chlorophyll is a green substance found in plants. That leads me to belive that the smaller sea creatures feed on the plant life attracking the larger fish(ie dolphin on weed mats). The thing I dont know is what color indicates the higher chloro? Martin

I'm sorry guys I didn't get to this. My son is in a all star tourney this weekend, 2 games sat & 2 tomorrow (sun) leaves me little time to do anything. I'll get to work on the software to get the loran overlay along w/waypoints for better resolution.

Keep in mind that the pelagics like the clean blue water that has a lower concentration of chloraphyll. They will generaly concentrate where the clean water has a difinable edge with the green blended water. On the charts the dark blues and purples are the lower concentration blue water areas, reds and yellows are the high concentration green waters.
