I've read about a Lowrance model that works in both an rv and a boat. Does anyone have experience with this or others?

if i am not mistaken... which i could be.. I think any GPS will work for both as long as it has an SD card slot and they make both Maps for your model. You'd have to double check this though

Check out the Garmin 478. With an optional antenna it receives XM Weather

Also check out the Garmin GPSmap76. I use mine traveling (has built in road maps with services (motels, gas stations, etc.)), in the boat and in my kayak. It also floats! Very good unit and comes with a 12 volt external power cord for cigarette lighter hookup.
