I am going down to NC this weekend. Going fishing with my brother in-law on sunday.:fishing2: I was thinking about taking my surf rod for Saturday at Oregon Inlet or somewhere on the beach. Am I wasting my time or do I have a chance. :helpsmilie:

If you stop by any of the local tackle shops they will be helpful in pointing you in the right direction. Mike Tongier runs the tackle shop at Stop-n-Shop in KDH and he is always on top of the surf bite. Also the guys at TW's or Whalebone tackle are very helpful.

Good Luck.

Stop by and visit Scott and Carol at Fishing Fever...Fairly new tackle store around MP9-9.5...Both of them are great surf fisherman and can tell you whats going on and how to catch them....

I'm headed down Sat. and thinking about fishing the Oregon Inlet bridge area. Good Luck to ya. I'd send you a report but won't have access to the web. Hopefully they'll be hungry!
