Boy, I'd like to try it at least one more time if the weather (wind) is accomodating. I was thinking of launching out of Crab Alley and going out into Eastern Bay...perhaps around Parson's Island. Look around for any commercials, check their depth. I was thinking around 15 feet. Do you think this would be worth it? Asking the 'pros' out there. I'm still itchy!! How about you?

well obviously if you don't go you won't know but I would say try different depths and get out there it is a late season so chances could be good close to the bay in deeper water. Just remember to lengthen your trap lines or if your using a trot to use plenty of line from the anchor to bouy to decrease the angle and hlod bottom.

I worked the area you're talking about on Tuesday, about 1/2 mile northwest of Parsons in dept from 10' - 20', water temp only 62. I got a couple in the traps and saw a few drop off the line but it was very slow. I buzzed most of EB and didn't see a single commercial, only a handful of recs. Bring Traps and plan to do a lot of pulling, best depth was about 15 - 20 on the edge of a deper channel... Good luck.

They have already moved out of Cox, you'll need to try out farther in EB.
