OK well the wx forcast isnt great but I gotta go try Sat & Sun.
Sat looks like rain. Hopefully the wind will not be too bad. Sun looks like clear and windy.

This may be the last crabbing trip for me this season. Those crabs will be headed out to deeper water in the bay by what the future temps are showing. Highs in the 50's next week?

Oh well, the stripers and perch will be the target I guess.

Good luck if you go out this weekend!

DB:rolleyes:  :)) :cool2:

I was planning to go out tomorrow, but right now I making the decision not to defrost bait and say the heck with it, sit on the porch, look at the Elk all day and toss a few down.
If it clears out a bit in the PM, shoot out and play with some Perch and maybe get lucky with a Striper.

Basing my decision now on these 2!!

NWS - National Mosaic Enhanced Radar Image: Full Resolution Loop (http://radar.weather.gov/Conus/full_loop.php)
Marine Forecast - NOAA's National Weather Service (http://www.srh.noaa.gov/shmrn.php?mz=anz530)

Pops B-day on Sunday, can't miss that 76!

If you go have fun!

ERnie,
Thanks and have fun in Fla.
Striper In,

Oh I am going. Foul wx gear and all. The water is still too warm for them not to be available in those 8-15 foot depths where I go.

Tomorrow like today isnt supposed to be cold. low 70's. Hope the wind isnt too bad is all. Plus, the rain is supposed to stop in early pm I think.

Sunday is when that big cold front is coming in. Ill be out then too.

With the weather I think I made my last run last Sunday to Easton PT where I caught my bushel.
Hope to get some fishing in for Rocky around the Flats the next couple of weeks.
Good Luck, Lance.

On Saturday amidst crashing seas, driving rain and SE gusts to 25knots I prevailed catching my last crabs of the season I think.

Glad the temps were warm!

Got out right at legal setting time with 30 C tpx baited with nx. Topless foxymates did best.
Got to my dads at 0 dark 30. Flipped on the pier lights and put on my foul wx gear and of course the white Servus boots. Baited all tpx on board boat swaying in the wind while on the lift.

Still to early to go out at 630, ;-) so I went to get a breakfast samich and more gas. Knew Id use a lot of gas in the next 2 days.

Finally got out and splashed Ctpx at 800a.m. in varying depths. 10-12 being best and concentrated there.

Crabs came up sporatic but managed a great 3/4 bu of nice fall crabs. No cows, a few immature females but the rest all nice fall Jimmies.

Around 1130 a.m. the foul wx blew out and things calmed. Kept catching and stopped in hopes of catching more Sun.

Glad I went!

Pulled tpx and went fishing around 330 for 2 hours. Caught nice YP on minnows and small white grub lures. They had sholders these YP to 12 "!

Tide yesterday pm was so high that I could have drove the skiff up on the lawn!

Sun a.m. I woke to strong NNE winds and low water. Got up and got bfast and came back. Went out and splashed tpx were I could. Others had best leaward spots taken. Decided it was too rough and pulled tpx only catching one nice fall Jimmie.

Went back to fishing in the creek and caught more nice YP.

Nice end to the crabbing season. Ill still fish a while though. Maybe even crab one more time if things permit.

Beautiful fall day Sun even with the wind.

Hope you had a nice weekend all.

Deeper is better and I hope you can find sheltered water!

I saw a few folks coming out of 213 when I was heading home on 50 W. Maybe the Wye treated them better.

Remember, there are no crabs in the MILES!

The bay should produce more crabs to buy for a while too. The cool wx just got here. I got another Post to share on that later. Does cool wx or the intrernal clock of the crab dictate when they migrate out? I am thinkin clock now.

Fascinating Captn Kirk!

But Spock!!!!!!! Spock:eek2:
