10/21 pax report

My brother and i went benedict armed with 23 traps start time about 10:00 am. Ran the traps in 6 to 8 feet of water very slow with best run only three crabs all on the deeper end. Moved all the traps to the deeper end but it didn’t seem to help. Around 1:30 moved 10 traps to 10 to 12 feet of water. Picked up a few in the deeper water crabbed until 4:00 and ended up with a little short of a ½ bushel. A lot of throw backs and more immature females than I would have thought for this time of year. Crabs where not that heavy but not whites.

I was kicking myself for not going to the pax saturday but sounds like you did about as good as i did on the west river. at least you got some to steam up! enjoy

I was literally just south of the warm water discharge on sun and it was pretty good. Got a bushel in 2hr. ( 12-2) in 11-14 foot. Crabs were ok but not as good as the ones 2 weeks ago for some reason. I was using 1200 snood
