I got the itch fellas. Tommorow morning has a nice cool weather report and the woodies dont even know whats comin at em. I will be in Mckee Beshers....hopefully early enough to beat the crouds! Where is everyone else going to be? I dont know if I am going to be able to sleep tonite. Good Luck to all, and let us know how you do. Curious to hear whats flying around the state right now other than the woodies.

I don't know if they have done anything up at Mckee water wise this week but I did a scouting mission up there last Sunday and there wasn't as much as puddle up there. I will be hunting a pond down in St. Mary's for the first time. I will post if anything good comes of it. Good luck to y'all!!

Your gonna have a very slow day at McKee's tomorrow. If I were you, I'd come up with a back up plan and implement it immediately.

Went scouting today in mckee and have completely changed my mind. I couldnt find any water at all! I think im breaking the bow out for a nice quiet deer morning while everyone is going to be banging away at the woodies

There's hardly any water in the Potomac river, much less McKee Besher. Im not even going out for ducks till the second split.

Yeah, I've decided to go bowhunting this afternoon instead. The wood ducks will be artificially concentrated on my creek and it wouldn't be sporting to shoot into the flocks on hundreds..........
Oh, yeah, plus my wife is out of town so I'm stuck home with the kids this morning...... 2 more years and all the boys will be out on the marsh at sunrise.

I was thinking the Dorchester woodies would be a little concentrated since any freshwater spots are bone dry.
Last weekend, I didnt see or hear any late but during the day they were sitting in a tidal backwater making noise all day................which usually means a good size flock.
And nothing was going to bother them.
Still, It has been years since they flew worth a darn for me................they have really learned to fly before first light probably all going to the same corn fed honey hole...........that I have yet to find.
