Looking to spend 3 weeks in islamorada 11/26 to 12/17 and need a place for my 19' whaler and trailer. Anyone have any suggestions for wet/dry storage locations.

I haven't found a place yet. But There is a condo that is at mile marker 88.5 that caught my eye. Do you have any recomendations?

Craig - Check out ..VRBOŽ is Vacation Rentals by OwnerŽ Vacation Homes Rentals by Owner (http://www.vrbo.com) (Vacation Rentals by Owner). I booked/stayed at a place called Futura Yacht Club in Islamorada that was outstanding... and CHEAP. 2BR Condo for ~1100.00 for the week. They've got a boat trailer lot as well as a boat ramp on site. It's a gated/secure development, so no worries about leaving your stuff out at night.
Futura sounds like it's what you're looking for.

all hooked up at at the Futura Yacht club. The way the owner described it sounds like I am going to have a good time. also the $$ was right.

Cool deal... you'll have a blast. Did you get a unit in the big building, or one on the water with a slip? Both are great. Do yourself a favor and go to "Bob's Buns" for breakfast... outstanding breakfasts/pastries.
ALSO - Lazy Dayz resturant is fantastic... and they'll "cook your catch"... MAKE SURE you get'em to prepare it "Lazy Dayz Style". We've been trying to re-create it here at home, and have come close.

OT as far as where to park the boat, but make sure you drop into Porky's at Mile Marker 47 as well...they'll cook your catch and have killer fish and conch on the menu with their famous BBQ...sadly, for our Brit friends, the beer always seems to be ice cold (goes great with the smoked fish spread!) and the drinks well mixed. Right on the roadside, a real "joint" looking place full of really great folks from everywhere...and the view is of their cove and charter fleet.
They usually have good fishing reports for the Seven Mile Bridge area.

Have a great trip!

Thanks for all the info. Sounds like I am going to have a good time. First trip to the Keys and might not go back home.

Craig - Make sure to go to the Loreli... great little pub on the water. Good eats too.

Gee Al it almost sounds like you like it down here...
last night It was such a nice calm night with just a light breeze and the sliver of a moon I opted to take a couple of beers down to the tiki tables on the break water and hang for a bit...took my spotlight for the fun of it and counted 97 lobsters ( pity only 2 were close to legal size) hanging under and along the rocks...odd that the lobstera only hang out in about one 20 yd stretch even though the rest of the shore looks identical
Bob - yeah man, I like it a LOT down there. Been visiting the last 25 years (since spring break in '82 while in college). Shoestring budget back then... if it weren't for the fish and lobster caught, it would have been a hungry time (all money went to "beverages" and the Tiki Bar was the recepient of my funds).
Lobstering (for a newby) was just what you describe... find a place that holds'em and keep going back. When you take one away from a hole, it's amazing how fast another bug finds it. Makes you wonder where they were hiding before the "vacancy".

I really enjoyed my 3 weeks in Islamorada. The fishing was awesome, the water beautiful and the sunsets from Wahoo's unbelieavable. The whole trip was relaxing except for the ride home from Key West (don't speed). Can't wait for next years trip.
