shot this doe about 7 a.m yesterday morning and this buck at a different farm at 6:45 pm yesterday evening. got in the stand around 5 and it was 90 degrees out. had five bucks all about the same size and one that was a hammer that i didnt see until i shot this one. probaly should have waited but i never saw him and it was running out of daylight. when i shot the doe i saw 40-50 different deer . 4 of them were bucks and one was a monster 160/170 ish but he caught my wind and never came up. closest he got was 62 yards. didnt retrieve the buck until this morning because wasnt sure about the shot but i hit him low and right threw the heart.

Let'em walk! That deer would have been a monster in two years. All them does, should have shot another one. All in all, nice job.

I primarily hunt in Delaware and we can only take two bucks all season, which one has to be a quality buck. If it is a trophy to you than good job! I have learned with hunting this shitty state that I live in, is to make the deer hunting better I just let the smaller bucks walk. Some times it works and other times they get killed by someone else. So I say to myself "should I of shot that deer". Maryland has some liberal bags limits so you can have several shots at bucks? Good job on the deer, WHACK'EM & STACK'EM on them there does"!

Nice job! Usually I would let the smaller buck go but it all depends on where I'm hunting and how much meet is in the freezer.
Things are a little different this year since I do not have a lease so, if I resort to public land then my goal will be for meat in the freezer and my moto will be, "If it's brown it's down."
Good Luck this year all!!!!

Nice job, the beauty of MD, kill two in one day and all the does for meat you can handle.

seems crazy but it seems like the more deer killed each year theres more the next year here in md. i wish there was a minimum antler restriction like pa has.

Hey, I really do agree with antler restrictions. Just look how it is paying off in PA. There are some real nice deer coming out that state. I sure everybody has seen the pictures of the buck killed by the Amish guy. Pa was never really known for big bucks until now. Antler restrictions are also good for the overpopulation of does. Maybe with restrictions we would have less does, more intense rut, and bucks reaching there full potential.
