I know that in Maryland you have to get written permission from the landowner to hunt on private property. Do you have to carry this slip with you when hunting, or can it be in the vehicle?

I know somebody who got caught and the original fine was a few hundred and his gun but when he went to court with the permission slip he got his gunb back and the reduced the fine.
Carry it with ID and your license.
